its been 2 years and we cant forget ur legacy/ aint nobody better than P/ u always gonna be a legend in the D/ this is the best way to grieve, u will always be missed, rest in peace/ to be honest, we gonna miss u rappin/ Searching for Jerry Garcia was an instant classic/ what happened to u shouldnt have happened/ u should still be in the studio with Em, Dre, and 50/ making hit records with Kon, Kuniva, Bizarre and Swifty/ u should be here yelling Iron Fist/ theres no denyin this/ ur like a mentor and a huge influence to anyone whoever picked up a mic and spit/ u not being here, i'll admit it sucks/ but at least u can kick it with Bugz/

this is my letter to Proof/ u aint with us no more thats the terrible truth/ we gonna keep playing ur songs, i think that'll get us through/ even though ur gone ur still here in the spiritual/ we wont stop missing u/

man its been crazy these last 2 years/ the game hasn't been the same without u here/ u put ur heart and soul in all ur raps/ when i first heard of ur death it made me fall back/ it was just wrong, knowing we wouldn't hear Proof on a new verse or a new song/ but man u shoulda seen Em/ he was distraught over losing his best friend/ just knowing that u wouldnt be there to hang out again. to hang out with him/ the medics tried to get u to the hospital but u were DOA/ we all figured u would be okay/ but u were gone, and we got a Proof tribute song from Obie and Dina Rae/ this letter is a goodbye from all ur fans/ we appreciate everything u ever did for us man...thank u/

at ur funeral, we celebrated ur life/ thousands of fans came out to say their goodbyes/ at that moment it made them realize/ that u touched a lot of people, u had a huge impact on their lives/ on a personal note, u shoulda heard Em's eulogy, man the words that he wrote/ they were from the heart and he was speaking for all of us/ he told us that u gave everyone u ever met nothing but love/ i just wrote this to let u know how we're all feeling/ we miss u and even though its been a couple years we're still reeling/ we can never get that image out of our head/ there was an altercation and Proof was shot dead/ you've never shown the world nothing but love dude/ thats why i'm saying ur fans will always love u, peace/
