Nas' Rewind... In Reverse

Postby MikeNUFC » Jan 19th, '11, 16:10

Basically wrote the story that's told backwards by Nas in the song Rewind, forward. Hence some of the speech and random references which I took from the song.

I pick up my phone, got a voicemail from my man
Saying he’s found the guy to kill, he tells me the plan
Time seems to skip a couple hours as I wait for the evening
Drink a vodka, juice and ice, but all I taste is my breathing
The doorbell goes twice; I think that must be my girl
She comes up, slams her Gucci bag with an lustful old twirl
Looks me straight in the face and says “I’m really stressed right now”
But gives me a cheeky wink and a cock of her eyebrow
Starts to undress, takes her bra from her tits
Gets on her knees and starts sucking my dick
She finishes off and the damn bitch asks to kiss me
“Hell no - I’m frisky but a kiss that quickly?"
She laughs for a moment, gives me a hug and gets up from the bed
She’s gone, I start thinking of her, and not just her sucking my head
But no time to think as I feel my phone start to rumble
“The enemies on your block” I hear from the smart guy, Jungle
“We right outside” he says before I put the phone down
Shove on my black shirt; grab the heat and a lone round
I run downstairs, jump in the van, shake hands with my n.iggers
We listen to Stevie Wonder, talking how we can make nine figures
Jungle gets out his weed, rolls it and we light up a blunt
Feels good as it gets smaller, ain’t seen that site in a month
I lean forward as Jungle shouts “There he go”, pointing
Jump back out the van, close the door, feel disjointed
I look over as the guy takes his hands off his bitch
As he turns round I go and take the fifth from my hip
He screams “Please dont shoot” as cock my gun back
Hit him square in the chest and he drops with one smack

Amazing story type flow, loved the cockiness in the middle of the piece.

I run downstairs, jump in the van, shake hands with my n.iggers
We listen to Stevie Wonder, talking how we can make nine figures

That's really Creative of you there.
Another good piece . :y:

Yo I really liked it. Flow was amazing, and the way you rhymed some of the words in the middle was incredible. Do you think you could feed my piece I'm going to drop tonight "Blank"

Pretty good. Good story telling and imagery it was just kind of boring. Nothing exciting happened in the story, I know it was a concept of rerewinding Nas's song but it would still bore me if it was recorded.

Lol yeah well it would be more interesting if I was making the story from scratch but I had to follow Nas' narrative for the concept.

Cheers for the feed. :b:
