McMbaybe + Siinide "Fall apart"

Postby Block » Mar 11th, '11, 10:37

McMaybe:

Homeless... lost within his mind...
alone... ashamed of what his obstacle defined...
but the anger couldn't constitute a crime... (he was out of sight),
he couldn't leave the box behind... that's all he had in life...
he use to have a wife... (but her eyes are closed forever)
because unemployment doesn't coin insurance in demand,
when it's urgent and the surgeon diagnosed her with the cancer,
and the fan blades, spinning like apartments in the projects,
barricades... withholding accomplishments or prospects,
following a god-bless... (he chased it with a dream)...
when the sparkles in his eyes become a staple for the seam...
but the park bench, offered him the purity,
(lost)... within a pile of his inner-child's insecurities...
and the lost kids... he pointed towards a home,
he wouldn't offer wisdom... he had nothing left to show...

You're on the other side..
You're on the other side..
You've made a sacrifice..
You've made a sacrifice..
It's been so nice and giving...
You've lived a life worth living...
It's not so bad to die..
It's not so bad to die..

Siinide:

he was convicted as a criminal if 'criminals' a loving verb,
and nothing hurts worse than when he's kicking up another curb
(pick it up).. just to work the kinks within the sidewalk..
he seeps into the drywall to live another day alone,
pray he's home, or fight another battle just to make it so,
make it so he loses and it loosens up the fraying rope
he recites an incantation that will make you wanna stay with him
or lay with him a moment he'll atleast get through the day again
as sober as he can be.. you and I, we can't see
the man behind the mirror or the truth behind the banshee..
he's branching out again it's an attempt to hit a higher peek,
I would seek a shelter but then who am I to try & speak?
(a fella with an ego) ... (a complex of a major god)
say I'm wrong but everything he knows is what I'm based upon,
a faceless pawn walking just to try and find another queen
he smothers each piece until the rook becomes a lover's dream... (ahhhhhhhhhhh)

You're on the other side..
You're on the other side..
You've made a sacrifice..
You've made a sacrifice..
It's been so nice and giving...
You've lived a life worth living...
It's not so bad to die..
It's not so bad to die..

Ridiculous piece.

I dont wanna keep sounding like a dick rider lol but typically amazing vocab and word choice from both of you adding to the outstading imagery. Great rhyming.

Loved this bit from Maybe's verse:

following a god-bless... (he chased it with a dream)...
when the sparkles in his eyes become a staple for the seam...
but the park bench, offered him the purity,
(lost)... within a pile of his inner-child's insecurities...

k block - the structure of your narrative is so well crafted, every single word has a place and it all links so nicely. I love how you use wordplay without making it sound corny or out of place. Just makes the piece even more vivid.

Without sounding like a dumb fuck, I don't really get that first line.

Nah, I like your feed because I know if I do something wrong or wack, you'd be the first to say it. Thanks bro.

As for my first line, there's supposed to be an apostrophe s, but I neglected it because of the context of the word, and using the apostrophes to surround the word. That may have changed how you read it.

What I was basically saying inn the first line is like how people use the word criminal to describe something good. Like "criminally attractive", have you heard of that? Although it's an adverb in that sense, still a verb, per se. The line is basically contradicting itself on purpose.

Hope that helps bro. And thanks for the feed.

Ah yeah I get it.

I was confused because you didn't actaully use the adverb itself (which made it better now I get it) so I didn't understand the why you described it as a verb

Fucking incredible seems to be the only way to describe this. Both verses were flawless in my opinion. However, I feel the chorus is the best part. I don't know. I can just imagine it fitting so perfectly between the two verses. Great piece of art :y: :y: :y:
"Did you ever stop to think/I'm old enough to go to war but I ain't old enough to drink" - 2Pac

"It's time to let the truth be told/There ain't no brighter day/'Cause when it all unfolds/A n**** gon' just pass away/These haters tryna stop my grind/But I bet them hoes can't block my shine/So tired of takin' losses not this time/I can't save the whole world I'm just tryna look out for mine" - Z-Ro

You're not allowed to post text any longer. I want a song.

With that said, good stuff. It wasn't that same old typical topic and rhymes, it was original and refreshing.

Thanks man, It's always nice to hear from someone that's read my past work. We're trying to keep things interesting (since we started working together a year or so ago) and you should expect an EP that will be nothing short of amazing soon.

By the way, I fed your new piece. Shoot me some links to stuff you did while I was gone man.
