A few days ago I had a dream. I had nothing to do with me as far as I know, and it's depressing as fuck. It goes like this:
In an undisclosed town, there lived a boy. He was about 6 and lived only with his father and older brother. Their mother either left or died, that was never revealed in the dream. The boy, whose name also never came up, still thought he lived a perfect life because he had a bowl of goldfish, about 7 fish in the bowl, and they were his only companion. But as time passed, they fish started to die, one by one. And as each passed, he felt sadder and sadder, but still had a ray of hope in each fish that lived on. Even after the last fish had died, he still thought he had a great life. Even though his brother was on a path to jail and his dad is never home. However, he awakes one morning to find that he can't see. He tells his dad, and of course he knows right away what had happened. The father goes to this building, I'm not sure if it was his friends or maybe something that had to do with the blind, as that was also kept hidden from me. He asks two men on the opposite side of the desk to explain to his son what had happened, as he just didn't have the heart or courage to do so himself. The two men ponder this situation, and end up agreeing. After they tell the boy, he still doesn't lose hope, as he thinks it's just a phase. "I'll grow out of it." he says. "Tommorow I'll wake up and I'll be able to see." he says. But as time goes on, and the boy grows older, he realizes this is not a normal stage on the path to adulthood. As he realizes he may never be able to see again, the boy ultimately winds up sitting in a chair all day everyday, waiting for death to call upon him.
That's as far as I get before I woke up. If you all like it I'll try and adapt onto it, give everything further detail, names, explanations, the works. When I awoke from the dream, I feared it was gonna happen to someone I knew, or even me. I'm not usually one to read into these kinda things but this...this just scares me.
