Gucci Mane crosses 100,000, Lil Wayne keeps a Top 5 appearance, and will Mr. Rager help Kid Cudi reach The End of Day without a gold plaque?
This past week was slower on the charts for Rap and Rap-related music. For the first time in a number of weeks, the genre nearly lacked representation in the Top 5. However, Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being assumed that space after bouncing back to #1 last week, with the CD version hitting retailers. Wayne moved into 300,000 territory this past week on the album, with tracks featuring Young Money Records artists such as Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Twist.
Eminem's Recovery scooted to #8, down just one from last week. The Interscope/Aftermath Entertainment release has the possibility of reaching the three million mark by year's end.
Trey Songz slid four more spots to #17 last week with his Passion, Pain & Pleasure. Hitting the 430,000 unit-mark, Trey may now be Atlantic Records' biggest star in the wake of T.I.'s legal woes. The Petersburg, Virginia native's fourth album features Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Songz' label-mate, Bruno Mars came in at #24 with his debut Doo Wops & Hooligans. After scoring exposure via his "Nothin' On You" feature alongside B.o.B. earlier this year, Doo Wops & Hooligans features Damian Marley. It was announced yesterday that Donnis and Matt & Kim will join Mars on his album's tour.
Brick Squad rapper Waka Flocka Flame fell to #32. The Atlanta sensation's debut, Flockaveli features Pastor Troy, Wale and Uncle Murda. The Lex Luger-produced artist won the cosign of even former Death Row Records founder Marion "Suge" Knight in the last week.

Rick Ross remains trying to carry his acclaimed Teflon Don release over the 500,000 mark. The Def Jam album, featuring contributions from Kanye West, Jay-Z, Erykah Badu and Cee-Lo sits just 7,000 units below 450,000 overall. With a strong push, the album could meet its plaque by the holiday season.
Gucci Mane passed the 100,000 mark with just 10 units, selling his The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted. It is presently believed that Gucci is in drug rehabilitation in Georgia, entering a 28-day program last week. Official sources have yet to confirm.
