Authorities arrested the son of the late rapper Eazy-E for illegally possessing a concealed pistol after a traffic stop.
Eric Wright, Jr., 22, whose stage name is Lil' Eazy-E, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Saturday after his vehicle was stopped by Sheriff's deputies in the 4200 block of Compton Boulevard in unincorporated East Rancho Dominguez.
Two others in the vehicle were arrested; one for possession of a handgun, the other for a probation violation. Their names were unavailable.
Wright is the firstborn son of rapper Eazy-E, one of the founding members of the seminal rap group NWA. He died from AIDS complications in 1995. Lil' Eazy-E, also a rapper, released his first album, "Prince of Compton," earlier in 2006.
