Viruses Exploit Sony CD Copy-Protection

SAN JOSE, Calif. - A controversial copy-protection program that automatically installs when some Sony BMG audio CDs are played on personal computers is now being exploited by malicious software that takes advantage of the antipiracy technology's ability to hide files.

damn sometimes it feels like its its the companies that make computers that create the viruses.. so they could trash ur PC and ud have to buy a new one
or buy expensive asss antivirus programms..

Im Studying Computer Science and Encryption so this is pretty fuckin cool for me - i know how these things work (having writting quite a few myself not that advanced though) Propz for the guy behind that piece of coding believe me it takes some "sirius"

Sony installed this program so they can stop people from buring copies...they said it would still let you make a copy of that CD but the limit was 3 only. its dumb for companies to do this cuz the consumers pay good money for the CD to have and to hold and keep..we should have the freedom to do what we want w/ the CD since we did pay for it

i have a few CD's that have program in it, luckily i havent put those CD's in my comp cuz then i'd have a huge prob

i read earlier this week somewere
about printers using markings on every printed page
it said that some companies WILLINGLY install that shit to help FBI
wat happened to personal Freedom... and ppl blame comunism for taking away freedom

SMH ppl are being brainwashed and they don't wanna do anything bout it coz
they are too ignorant

Whooooo..... scary!

you just copy your cd on casette-tape, and after that you copy your casette-tape to pc and turn it into MP3.

a little bit more work but it works !
