Postby fearless31666 » Nov 8th, '08, 00:10

Detroit's Royce Da 5'9's new album "Street Hop" will be hitting stores early next week. It was announced yesterday Royce signed a new deal with One Records to release the album. "One Records is proud to be in business with Royce,” said the label’s owner, Hanley Halem. “He is an amazing talent and we feel that he has yet to reach his peak as an artist. Street Hop is a breath of fresh air, at a time when the industry really needs it and we are anxiously looking forward to releasing it." The album will be Royce's fourth release after two unproductive deals with Tommy Boy and Columbia Records.

"Street Hop" will be executive produced by DJ Premier plus feature production from Nottz, Green Lantern, Carlos Broady, Ski, Kay Gee, Emile, and of course Premier. Featured rappers on the album will included Bun B, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I.

Royce will be hitting the road with D-12 and Joe Budden to promote his new album and his recent mixtape. The video for the first single "Shake This" [listen here] will be hitting television soon. Royce recently released two tracks the two tracks "Slaughterhouse" [listen here] and "Onslaught" [listen here] that feature Joe Budden, Joel Ortiz and Crooked I.

Its coming first quarter next Year, not next week.

Royce Da 5′9″ and his M.I.C. imprint have inked a deal with One Records for the release of Royce’s highly anticipated album, Street Hop, scheduled for a first quarter 2009 release. Featuring production from DJ Premier, Nottz, Green Lantern, Carlos Broady, Ski, Kay Gee and Emile; and guest spots from Bun B, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and a few other surprises that will be unveiled at a later date. Be on the lookout for the Rik Cordero directed video for the lead single, Shake This, later this month. As well as a video for the b-side single, Part Of Me, produced by Carlos Broady.

This album will definitely show the world why I’m the one to watch right now. I’m happy about my new partnership between M.I.C and One Records, because it’s time to ignite the streets… I’m ready to show all these other rappers just how wack they really are. - Royce

Check for Royce on tour with D12 & Joe Budden from November 12th through the top of 2009.
