12/2/08 Lil Wayne Issues Refunds, Takes 3rd In Digital Sales

Postby fearless31666 » Dec 3rd, '08, 00:37

Lil Wayne will refund ticket buyers for the two concerts he postponed. The refund was reportedly ordered by New York's Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. Weezy's publicist has already stated that the first concert was postponed because the equipment they provided didn't meet standards and the second show he had to put off due to his upcoming 'I Am Music' tour. Either way the Attorney General is pleased saying “Both Blue Cross Arena and Lil’ Wayne’s promoters are doing the right thing by refunding Rochester-area fans who purchased tickets to a performance that never took place."

In related news, Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" was recently announced as the 3rd most downloaded album of 2008. Weey's album was only beat by Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" (which sold over 500,000 copies digitally and 2+ million total) and Jack Johnson's "Sleep Through The Static."

In related audio, a new song from Lil Wayne hit the net today. "Bang Bang" [listen here] features Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda so make sure you [listen here].
