1/13/09 C-Murder Prepares For ReTrial

New Orleans prosecutors want C-Murder to stay in jail while he waits on his retrial for the killing of a 16-year-old. C-Murder was convicted in 2003 for the crime but later was granted a new trial after evidence revealed prosecutors illegally withheld the criminal history of three eyewitnesses. C-Murder was first told he would stay in jail till the retrial but 10 minutes after this ruling, the judge rescinded the ruling telling C-Murder to "conduct himself accordingly" till he hits the courts again.

Since the crime, C-Murder has dropped three studio albums including "The Truest Sh*t I Ever Said" (2005), "The Tru Story: Continued" (2006) and "Screamin' 4 Vengeance" (2007). C-Murder's house arrest bond is currently set at $500,000 and his new trial will take place on April 20th.
