2/26/09 Chris Brown Court Case Delayed

Chris Brown might have even more time to think about what he did to Rihanna. The Los Angeles district attorney says that Brown's court case for alleged domestic abuse against Rihanna could be pushed back to allow police more time to collect evidence against the singer.

“We don’t have the evidence yet. (Detectives) are still investigating. If they determine they need more time they’ll set a new date for him to come into court,” said Los Angeles district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison reads. “He only has to come back if and when we file charges.”

No one has really heard from either Brown or Rihanna since the incident the night of the Grammy awards. The New York Daily News is reporting that Rihanna took solace at a beachside villa in Punta Mita, Mexico after it went down.

The pic proves that he hit her, but it doesn't prove anything else. It's not like we didn't know they got into it. They've had those pics for weeks. But if they're trying to pin him with the most severe charges possible then they're going to need more than some pictures to prove it. And it's not like any of us can judge seeing as how no one seems to know the real story. So yeah... if they don't want to waste their time and fuck up and lose the case because of the double jeopardy law then they need more evidence
