OK, let me clear this up, i enjoyed a few of his verses here n there, and his best verse for me has to be the one he did on The Watcher 2. so an artist who only does a few good verses for me aint nothing.
his voice is annoying, flow is boring. lyrics are OK tho. and i dont like the beats he raps on either. plus the fact he took Pac's "Me N My Girlfriend" and turned it into his own single pisses me off even more.

and i meant garbage.

^I see, I used to dislike his voice as well. But that was probably because I was (and still am) a huge Nas fan, so my opinion was kinda biased back in the days.

However, I gave it a try and listened to Reasonal Doubt and The Black Album, which are classics.
Those two albums changed my view on his music, he really is great, so if you haven't listened to those albums, I highly recommend you to do so.

Exactly. I was never a Jay-Z fan, matter of fact I always used to say he was overrated though really I barely even knew any of his music. Plus like mcZu said the idea of me being such a big Nas fan changed my views of Jay-Z.

Eventually I decided to give him a chance so I got Reasonable Doubt and I really liked it. I decied that Jay-Z was actually pretty good. I went on to get The Blueprint and damn...that was a masterpiece. That got him up there as one of my favorite rappers.

hmm actually i havent heard Reasonable Doubt yet, and not even that other album, i just heard a song here there, singles on TV, a few collabs and made up my decision that i aint no fan of him. I'll download Reasonable Doubt and see if it changes my opinion.

Good good :y: Just give him a chance but I did prefer The Blueprint than Reasonable Doubt...it might be easier in a way to like that one more.

If you don't like him fair enough cause at least you've been able to hear his stuff and decide from there.
