The song is alright, but I don't get why Jay would make a song like this. His album's producer just made a whole album full of nothing but autotune, and now hes bashing it? This song won't have any effect on the death of auto-tune, it will die shortly because of it's wackness

^He made a track like this because he's addressing this era of ringtone/iTunes based music. And sometimes you gotta say fuck what your friends are doing and say what you feel. Truth of the matter is that autotune is horrid when used by anyone, let alone everyone. He felt he had to say his piece.

Well yeah I mean their overall reaction to what you're doing, not necessarily saying that he didn't appreciate some of the artists that used the effect.

Ok, but if he really was against Ringtone/Itunes based music, he should've went a different direction with the song, not call it 'Death Of Autotune'. That just doesn't make sense, because about 7 months ago he released an album under his label that is nothing but autotune. Ok so He makes a song adressing this shit, but then he goes on tour with the main artist involved in helping to make autotune more popular, T-Pain. Sounds a little Hyprocritical to me, I mean I like Jay and the song is straight but it just doesn't make that much sense. But hey, that's my opinion

I see what you're saying, but the Kanye thing is irrelevant. Even if you don't like a particular style your artist is using if he's making you money you can't stop that, not to mention the right for an artist to be as creative as they feel is necessary. As for T-Pain, didn't he say he liked T-Pain at some point? It'd be like me hating the lakers but liking Kobe Bryant. Or for example I don't really like male R&B but I think Usher is cool. You see what I mean? And I understand what you mean about calling it Death of Autotune, but "Death of Autotune, Ringtones, and iTunes Based Music" just isn't as catchy lol
