Dying To Be Thin

Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston has passed away at the tender age of 21 due to complications from anorexia.

Reston weighed an alarming 85 lbs at the time of her death.

The model's mother, released the following statement to parents all over the world:

"Take care of your children ... no money is worth the life of your child, not even the most famous (fashion) brand is worth this."

anarexia is a condition....it is not the sufferer's fault....they just always see themselves as too fat......dno exactly how this girl died

but there's plenty of girls out there, who ain't anorectic (sp) look ok and they're still tryin to be thinner.. :confusion:

besides people create an image of a skinny woman, which a lot of young girls look up to. that's sick.

girls think its sexy to walk around with the body

you should just accept your body
i mean you have "big" girls who can look very pretty
and you have thin girls who are naturally skinny ( and that looks ok on them)

but there is a line between looking skinny and looking sick

modeling itself is rediculous most of the models are only required to be thin simply so the clothes would always fit perfect on each of the women.

Only women care about models, and they are dressing up for who? ...

True, but it's a condition the girl had, I suffered from it myself, got down to 4 stone 11 and was hospitalised, but it has a lot more to it than wanting to be thin
