MX's legal woes behind the wheel continue to mount as the Yonkers bred rapper was ticketed for causing a car accident on Sunday, June 11 in NY.
According to The Journal News, X (Born Earl Simmons ) was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban on the shoulder of Hutchinson River Parkway and was struck by another vehicle as he pulled back into the right lane.
"There was congestion on the parkway, and he apparently was driving on the shoulder to avoid it," said Monte Long, Westchester County's deputy police commissioner. "When he pulled back onto the right lane, the other driver didn't have time to stop."
There was no damage to either vehicle. DMX was given a summons in connection with driving on the shoulder and is expected to appear in Harrison Town Court on July 21.
The other driver, a 39-year-old Mamaroneck man, was not ticketed.
As previously reported, X is due in White Plains City Court on Friday (June 16) to answer tickets he received earlier this month for speeding, making unsafe lane changes, not wearing a seat belt and driving without a license.
DMX has a long record of traffic offenses which include a June 2004 incident where he charged a parking gate at New York's JohnF. Kennedy International Airport with his SUV after taking valium, and several occasions of being caught driving with a suspended license, including one where he was clocked speeding at 104 mph.
In related news, X is currently gearing up for the release of his sixth album, Year of the Dog, Again. The album is slated to hit shelves on August 1st via Sony Urban Music.
He will also be the main focus of a reality show titled "DMX: Soul of a Man," which will premiere on BET in July.
