Just caught it on the news man. My fear of flying is becoming more justified by the minute.

Honestly, this is just bad timing. The three big disasters this year are so far removed from each other. One look at FlightRadar24, just to see how many flights there are every day that take off and land without issue...

MH370 was most likely a deliberate act by someone who REALLY knew what they were doing not just your run of the mill hijacker (who, no one knows yet, only evidence against pilot so far is circumstantial, criminal investigation has found absolutely nothing, not even by way of suicidal motive), MH17 was most likely dumb fucks too stupid to realise a transport/cargo plane wouldn't be flying that high and this TransAsia flight seems to be down to weather and a delay in being allowed to land at an emergency runway.

These sorts of disasters would usually happen once in years (Boeing 777s have had like 4 major incidents in like 20 years, now 5). It's just shitty, shitty timing. Fatal car crashes don't stop me getting in a car and they happen every single day...

It's been a bad few months for commercial flights, but that hasn't swayed me from getting on them in future. Thousands of planes take off every day.

Damn. I've only been on one flight, but I don't think about all this stuff if I ever have to fly. We can't live in fear in a loop of negative thoughts. Gotta be positive if you have fear of flying distract yourself any way possible like listening to music and enjoy your flight, but just don't let fear limit you.

is the safest means of transport.

There was a period of time , I had to take like one flight per month, I only had problems once, we had some hardcore turbulences, one person started to cry, because she was one of those paranoids who doesn't want to flight, it was her first time and she started to blame on the bf and tell him she wouldn't do it again.

My only real bad experience about it, is when they lost my baggage. :shakehead:
