
The interior designer for Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in Manhattan has slapped the rapper with a $600,000 lawsuit for violating an agreement with his design firm.
According to the New York Post, Ilan Waisbod, founder of New York based Studio Gaia, filed the lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court last week.
The suit alleges that Hov failed to honor an agreement with Studio Gaia, by using similar interiors applied in the Manhattan 40/40 club in his 40/40 Club in Atlantic City and planning to use them in other clubs set to be built in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Singapore.
Representatives for both parties could not be reached for comment.
In related news, Jay-Z recently partnered up with The United Nations and MTV to increase awareness of the world water crisis. The Brooklyn bred rapper plans to use his upcoming word tour to visit regions plagued with unsanitary water and MTV will document and broadcast his journey in November.
