After being arrested for impersonating an officer in New York, The Game is telling his side of the story.
"This is a ploy by the hip-hop police to humiliate me because they harass and follow me every single time I come to New York," Game told SOHH via a statement. "I was in town this week to work and promote my new album, Doctor's Advocate. I never impersonated anyone, especially and absolutely never a police officer."
The Compton MC (born Jayceon Taylor) was arrested Thursday night (November 16) for allegedly impersonating an undercover police officer.
Despite this recent incident, Game is riding high. He released his sophomore set, Doctor's Advocate, on Tuesday and according to early reports, the album is on target to sell more than 300,000 copies in its first week.
