Talking exclusively to nobodysmiling.com, Sha Money XL, founder of G-Unit Records gave us some hints as to what to expect from 50 Cents up and coming release, his third on Interscope/Aftermath/G Unit. "You can expect some serious lyrics, some heart felt words, a real solid album," he stated. 'It's not about rushing, it really is about the music" he said on 'Before I Self-Destruct'.
After albums from Mobb Deep and Lloyd Banks didn't do the numbers the world expected when asked if the faction was under pressure to deliver with the releases from Buck and Fifty this year, the producer as well as CEO went on to say "When you have artists like Young Buck, their use of words and their conviction is always coming from the heart and that is what both of them are doing, whether I am buying their album or ten million people are buying their albums, I know they are the truth."
He went onto confirm that Buck's album had been pushed back to March 20th and the reason for this is purely a marketing strategy, "the next video is ready to go out and we want that to kick in as you want to really market your artists and put them out there. People need more than one record these days." Something that failed to materialize with last years G-Unit releases.
Finally Sha Money sent his condolences to the family of the late producer Disco D, responsible for Ski Mask Way on 50's last album, " he was a character man, bouncing off the walls with thoughts and his energy was definitely raw. God Bless his soul, as it is hard out there for a lot of people , it's tough in this world, whatever he was going through, God Bless his family as they are left behind."
