50 Cent is at it again. The music boss will try his luck again in the movie. 50 aka Curtis Jackson has agreed to be apart of Live Bet which will be released by Universal Films.
The movie which will be directed by Alejandro Lozano, centers around the underground world of illegal car racingand nightclubs. The epic was originally written by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides and is being produced by G-Unit Films the rapper's entertainment company along with Mary Parent and Scott Stuber and exceutive produced by Lemon Films.
Live Bet will start filming the summer at varies locations such as New York, Las Vegas and Philly.
Ice Cube loves the kids, well at least college students. The former NWA member has partnered up with the McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota to start The Ice Cube Scholarship.
The award will be assigned in the 2007-2008 academic year, it will be given to the student who successfully completes the challenge set up by the rapper. The competition will test the students talent of
finishing their own song.
"It has become a lifelong mission to give back to our youth and provide them with opportunities for a successful future," Ice Cube said in a press release. "I am honored to be working with such a highly respected establishment such as the McNally Smith College of Music and look forward to reviewing the submissions by scholarship applicants in the coming months."
The deadline for the scholarship is May 1 and students can visit http://www.mcnallysmith.edu for the application process.
In other news Ice Cube latest acting gig Are We Done Yet, the sequel to Are We There Yet will hit theaters Apr. 4 and co-stars actress Nia Long who Cube has worked with in movies Friday and Boyz n the Hood.
T.I.'s long time spouse,Tameka Cottle, has allegedly suffered a miscarriage. Cottle was five months pregnant with T.I.P.'s baby girl. The singer is now reportedly recovering at an Atlanta hospital.
