ur right in a sense, but its more of the media's fault with how they word shit and make everybody so panicked and fucked up in the head in america. having more guns doesn't make a person want to go on a rampage, its what surrounds them that has an affect.
now ur being slow again. The more guns are available, the more it becomes a "SOLUTION" to some depressed nutcases problem. Could a maniac go on such a rampage with knife? Man this is so obvious i think its not even worth discussing.
the media is so much different here than anywhere else. they tend to over hype things, and say things very outrageous b4 they have any true facts. that makes everybody run around thinking they know shit, when they actually have wrong info. that may not really make sense, or u may think its the same where u live, but its really hard to understand unless u see it for urself. if u watched the canadian news, which i have, they tend to talk about things that affect the community. and their politicians are more concerned with better things than what american politicians are. the US media wants to show an image of somebody getting killed a hundred times in just an hour. they dont care what ppl think, they just wanna show whats gonna make ppl react and be shocked and tune in.
I don't watch ur news, and i certainly dont watch much tv, whats ur point? Im talking about guns being a weapon that kills people, what the TV says means nothing, and i dont care what western media says anymore anyway.
ppl get so bent out of shape over this, and i think thats why they go crazy. just compare the murder numbers of the US to most other countries. i do agree having all the guns does make ppl feel the same way, but thats not the only reason. theres plenty of shootings in other places of the world, this just headline news because of the US media. just last year in canada a gunman went onto a college campus and shot twenty ppl. that didn't make as big of a headline. i bet nobody really posted much about that on here, or any other large shooting. so u cant just blame it on the gun control, its a combination of everything
basically ur saying its not the "only" reason yada yada... im sorry but refresh my memory, have there ever been rampages like this with knifes? or any other weapon for the matter? And whats so bad about making guns less available? if it lowers the possibility of the wrong person owning the gun its already a good thing. I dont follow the logic of saying "removing gun laws wouldnt change this" because such nonsense has no logic. Guns are made to kill people and only that, u dont fuck ur girlfriend with a gun, u dont use it hammer nails in.... u kill people with it, now give me a straight answer:
less guns in the country and them being harder to get = less gun crime? or no?
its yes, theres gonna be less crime... discussion over its as simple as that.
(id be glad to debate more but im for college for now (we should make a specific thread for this) )
