8/1/08 Threats by Suge made me recant testimony in Biggie...

Postby fearless31666 » Aug 1st, '08, 19:02

Waymond "Suave" Anderson, a former R&B singer and a current inmate on trial appealing a 1993 slaying, made claims the past two days that threatening letters were passed to him via a L.A. Times reporter from former Death Row owner Suge Knight, and that these threats led him to retract claims that implicated officers in the death of Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace.

Anderson, a convicted murderer whose credibility has been attacked by prosecutors who cite mental hospitalization and the fact that he set a man who owed him drug money afire, claims that L.A. Times writer Chuck Phillips passed these threatening plastic-wrapped messages along to him as directed by Knight. He claims these messages made him testify falsely in the civil lawsuit that was presented by the family against the police officers handling the Biggie death. Anderson had implicated LAPD officer David Mack for the orchestration of the murder of Biggie as requested by Suge, but much to the surprise of the Wallace family, latter testified he did not even know David Mack.

In his new allegations, not only does Anderson accuse Suge of threats and Mack of murder, he also made claims of corruption against a prosecutor, police officers and two of his previous defense team of corruption.

Phillips, Mack, and Knight all deny these allegations, with Phillip, who has written articles in support of Anderson’s innocence, adding that he is “flabbergasted” by these claims, and that it is the “ultimate betrayal”.

However, this story is from the L.A. Times, who’s own credibility should be judged after recent revelations that a previously published article implicating Diddy and Biggie for having prior knowledge of the 1994 Tupac Shakur shooting, and even linked the two to the crime, was based on fabricated documents.
