Kweli misses the hill. Heads aren't the only ones missing L Boogie. Talib Kweli does too. In fact, the BK emcee's forthcoming album, Right About Now, features "Ms. Hill," a letter to Lauryn. The song recounts Blackstar's tour with The Fugees, as well as Hill's incidents with the pope, and her alleged production theft. Kwe opens the first verse by offering, "I wish I could talk to Lauryn/I mean excuse Ms. Hill/let her know how much we love her, it's real/the industry was beatin her up/then them demons started eating her up/she need a savior that would bleed in a cup/we used to kick it in the salad days/now she look at me like she don't know me when she see me nowadays/that's how it stay/her songs are still better than anything out that Hot and Power play." Meanwhile, in the second verse, he praises L for being inspirational, explaining, "Please it's no disrespect to whoever your man is though/this relationship is strictly music like D'Angelo/I know you hate Babylon and wanna see a fall/but they won't let you read your poem at the BET Awards/ you give us hope, you give us faith/you the one/ they like what you gotta say,but still they beg you to come."
