8/22/08 Da Brat Gets 3 Years In Prison

Da Brat won't be So So Def for the next three years. The rapper was sentenced to three years in prison today for the assault that took place at a Halloween party last October. Da Brat got into a fight with a waitress at Studio 72 and Da Brat hit the woman in the head with a rum bottle and she was later hospitalized and now has permanent facial scars.

The local paper, The Atlanta Journal-Constituion, is reporting that a judge in Dekalb County sentenced Da Brat to three years in prison plus seven years of probation and 200 hours of community service. As she was removed from court, Da Brat said to her family and friends “I love y’all,” to which they replied “We love you too.”

she was signed w/ so so def for a while..dont know if she's still signed to his label. other than that she always hung around mariah carey. she's kinda boyish
