Detroit's own Kid Rock issued a challenge Thursday to an Atlanta judge who sentenced him to 80 hours of community service following a 2007 Waffle House scuffle, but later ruled that concerts for the troops in Iraq didn't count toward that obligation.
On TMZ.com, Rock said: "If he wanted to punish me, he should have put me in jail. But he didn't, so ... why doesn't he go over and practice" expletive law in Iraq "if he's so badass?"
The statement came after Rock posted the judge's name, work number and address on his Web site, kidrock.com, and urged his fans to complain.
Kid Rock, born Robert James Ritchie, was sentenced in July to a year of probation and fined $1,000 for his role in the fight. He and five members of his entourage were arrested Oct. 21, 2007 on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. He must complete the community service by February.
"There ain't no bigger community service than going to play in front of our soldiers who protect the freedom for you to put your camera on me right now," he said on the TMZ video.
