Katie Couric sat down and talked with many of the Grammy nominated artists, including Lil Wayne. After bowling a few rounds with Katie, Weezy F Baby starts off by saying "Im a gangsta" Lil Wayne says, "I don't take anything from anyone. I do what I want to do and Im gonna do that till the day I die and if I can't do that, then I will just die."

When asked to describe the typical Lil Wayne fan, Weezy said "I can't because I have seen everybody." Lil Wayne says music is "a way of showing someone my intelligence. A way showing someone who I really am."

Weezy got personal after Katie asked why he dropped the "D" in his name to which Wayne says "I dropped the D because I'm a Jr. My father is living and he's not in my life. He's never been in my life, so I don't want to be D'wayne, I'd rather be Wayne."
