Reports are claiming that Lady Gaga has lost somewhere in the vicinity of $4 million US on her ongoing Monster Ball tour. But really, can you put a price on a custom 11-seater bathtub and valkyrie costume?

OK, maybe you can: more than $100,000 US, according to British tabloid The Sun. That expenditure, among others, has the paper reporting that Gaga's tour is hemorraging more profusely than the pop star at the VMAs.

"The gigs are losing money hand over fist because they've spent a fortune on pricey costumes, technical equipment and elaborate set designs," says the paper's unnamed source. And whether that source is Gaga's accountant or just a Sun mail clerk who's been watching Monster Ball fan videos on YouTube, you can't deny Gaga's show is all about the razzle dazzle. But beyond-her-means razzle dazzle?

"She spent £500,000 on one stage alone," the Sun's source claims. “But Lady Gaga gets what Lady Gaga wants. Her wardrobe is huge and she wants to shock -- and that costs serious money."

Gaga's rep told the paper: "I can't comment on figures but it wouldn't be a surprise. Gaga puts everything into her live shows and she doesn't care about the financial side of things. I wouldn't want to be her accountant."

Well, here's hoping she gets a cut of the proceeds from that new Gaga comic book; London Fashion Week's coming up, and someone needs a new trunk full of crazy-ass unitards.
