WINDSOR, Ontario (UPI) -- The Google software company agreed to a request from the Canadian city of Windsor, Ontario, to remove its Street View images of a murder scene.

The software gives a 3D perspective of areas photographed by camera cars that slowly drive along streets.

It came to the city's attention the Google car passed the Leopard's Lounge and Broil club on July 21, hours after a 24-year-old man had been stabbed to death in the parking lot, the Windsor Star reported.

The software allows users to zoom in on images, and in this case, the pool of blood was clearly visible along with the yellow police tape, the report said.

Google removed the images on Thursday, and Google Canada spokeswoman Tamara Micner said in a written statement it wasn't the first time the roving cars had captured "sensitive or objectionable imagery," the Star said.

"We worked quickly to remove this image after we were notified, and we're very sorry if it caused any distress," Micner wrote.
