"from the hood"

Postby yoshi » Feb 24th, '08, 02:50

i went to this party and there was a guy. he fell and hit his head against the door and he was bleedin a bit, not much though, so i tried to help him and told him to put some ice there. his mate told me to shut the fuck up, so i was like fuck it, it ain't my head. they both were drunk btw.

and then, that 2nd guy came and started telling some bullshit about him "being from the hood" and how he and the 'door' guy are best mates ever and that he's "from the hood" so practically no one knows what he's been through [suuuure :zipped: ], no one "knows life like he does" and so on. well, it's not like his small city was a Polish Harlem or Compton, so i was laughin inside, but yeah..

..do you really think that being "from the hood" determines your way of life? well obviously it does in some way, but if you want - you can.. i just wanted to know your opinion to state whether it's me being fucked up in the head or him being just drunk..

so yea in some way its kinda harder than being a spoilt well payed person  but i dont think its THAT hard in the "hood".....of course there is a diffrence to the lifestyle of "rich(er)" people...
but both sites have their ups and downs...

no no no, it wasn't about money at all. no one said anything about being wealthy. it was just about him excusing himself, because "he's from the hood".

you know, it's like he kicked the shit outta someone, just because. because he's 'from the hood' so he can. wtf? :confusion:

it's not about money. i'm talkin about mentality here. i'm not a rich person at all and i live in one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods in Warsaw, but you won't see me walkin around, smokin weed and kickin people, just because i live here, that's just sick.

your statment comes of as a silver spoon fed person, no offence just this line

but i dont think its THAT hard in the "hood"

proves you shouldnt comment on the matter, im in no way from the "hood" but i know how hard it is to struggle for shit, so in the sense that is isnt THAT hard when you want for stuff, trust me it is that hard, and if you aint ever expeirenced it dont comment on it :y:

as for subject matter, its like excusing yourself because they are "crips" and we are "bloods" stupid shit usually said by stupid people to cover up there stupid actions, would being form a hard area effect you mentally, yes it would no doubt about that, if you constantly see people getting jumped for no reason your reaction is to jump someone before they jump you. so in that sense yeh im guessing being from the "hood" would make you react differently than if you lived in a well of area, but usually id say its just stupid assholes who think there gangsta and hard then try have the 2 pac sympathetic thug image by saying "it aint my fault im from the hood"

and i hate using the word hood, is stupid. but thats a different matter, people come form bad backgrounds and areas and make something of themselves, others become addicted to drugs, some die...sometimes is the wrong place at the wrong time, most times its the person's own fault they get led down the wrong path and aint no "hood" to blame, only person to blame is themselves for being stupid enough to be just another person from the "hood"

being in the hood doesn't mean poverty being in the hood means your struggling and you need to get your shit together..so i don't know why people think this phrase "im from the hood" is soo good to me being from the hood is being stupid because you can do something about it to live in a better area no matter how hard your life is theres always possibility but people now days are fucked in the brain..and basically only reason they act so hard like im from the hood is cause there fucked in the brain..the drugs have completely destroyed there lifes...and that guy who was talking shit is one of them people who are fucked in the brain..cause a normal human won't act like that and would have more sense in him/her but what drugs does is changes ppl and im specially talking about cocaine, ice etc these are the main things these fuckaz take these days..and i know why..its because it gives you more courage to do shit and since these kids wanna fight it gives there pin dicks courage to fight...i cant stand fuckers like that matter fact i still gotta get back at a few ass holes who used to fuck around in school

^ that's basically what i think. i know it's hard, but polish 'hoods' are nothing like american ones, so there's no need to act 'gangsta'. what he said was mostly justifying himself. like you know, he's from 'the hood' so it gives him right to smoke weed and stuff.. it pisses me off, becasue there's plenty people out there who come from poor families or so called 'hoods' or whatever, but they actually struggled and achieved something in life.

What teenagers and lowlifes that couldn't finish school, coz the "gang peer pressure" was holding them back call "hard life in the hood" is actually just pure laziness and self pity... I pity not however...

Ive seen a whole generation of poverty growing up in the 90's.. and to be honest, i believe its about how much people try, the lazy generation now is 70% waste and the rest have society in their hands and peeps of 20-25 need to have 2 college degrees to make up for lost time...

Life as a student, trying to pay the rent for his shity little apt. and at least half of his college fee and have some spare money earned working at nights after classes..... is MUCH harder then a life of any low life "hood" person. Coz its harder to plan ur future and aim big then run around the streets getting drunk and then complaining about how hard it is... wen ur ass aint got no job and u too lazy to study.
