Do parents have the right to choose their kids religion?

Fellow ladies and fella Master-Debaters, discuss serious topics.

Postby j_shady » Nov 10th, '05, 06:37

i think in the begining of their childs life they should force some type of religion on them, but as they grow older they should let their kids expose themselves to other religions so they can choose themselves what religion is right for them

when we are a child we follow our parents religion and we live with that for years but if we want to change it,,we should change all the aspects of our life. it is not nessecary to change the religion i think, we can think and follow the other religions with out changing it .

I don't think parents have the right to force children into a certain religion. But i say yes at the beginning of the child's life, so the child knows what a religion is but as they get older they are free to choose.

People have the right to choose their own religion.

nope, I think that everyone should have a choice. If you feel that you want to confess buddism, what's the problem? :p
