(Note: The term “Allah” in Arabic translates to mean “God” in English. Arabic speaking Jews and Christians refer to “God” as “Allah” in reference to the Creator and Sustainer of the universe & all of creation. The term “Allah” predates the word “God”.)
1. Allah created Adam (from the clay of the earth) to worship Him alone, as there is no True God except Him.
2. Allah gave Adam freedom of choice, along with certain knowledge that exalted him above other beings that were previously created.
3. Allah ordered some of His creation to bow before Adam in adoration. However, Satan, who was of the Jinn race (made of smokeless fire, with freedom of choice), became filled with arrogance and refused to bow. He claimed to be better than Adam.
4. Allah then cursed Satan for his arrogance and disbelief, sentencing him to punishment. Satan pleaded to Allah that his punishment be delayed and promised to lead mankind astray, claiming that Allah would not find most of mankind to be grateful. Allah granted Satan respite until an appointed day and decreed that Satan would have no authority over those who were grateful servants to Allah.
5. Adam and his partner created by Allah, Eve, dwelled in Paradise for a time. They were later led astray and tricked by Satan to eat from the forbidden tree. Adam and Eve then repented to Allah who in turn sent them to earth for a specified time where humans shall live, die, and be resurrected.
6. As Satan led men astray over time, Allah sent guidance in the form of Prophets & Messengers to proclaim the Truth and lead mankind back onto the straight path of worshipping Allah alone.
7. Thousands of Prophets were sent throughout time and every nation received a Messenger. Some of the Prophets include Jesus the son of Mary, Moses, Abraham, Noah, David, Solomon, and John the Baptist. The last and final Messenger was the Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
8. Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the last and final Prophet, sent with a miraculous Scripture, Recitation, and Speech of Allah: the Qur'an. It has been perfectly preserved in its original, eloquent language (Arabic) by Allah. We are living in the end of times and no new Messengers or Scriptures will be sent. The Qur'an affirms past Scriptures including the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel, however only the Qur'an has remained preserved in its original form at this point in time on earth.
9. People from the nation of the first Messenger (Prophet Noah) were misled by Satan and were the first to worship idols. They worshipped statues of pious men who had previously passed away. Following in those same footsteps, people went astray worshipping Jesus as an idol after he ascended to the heavens. However, Jesus worshipped Allah alone and preached the same message of submission to Allah as did Noah and all of the other Prophets. Mankind later manipulated Jesus’ message and brought forth a new religion that was tainted by pagan traditions and pagan ideologies. Jesus will return before the Day of Resurrection as the Messiah and proclaim his innocence of ascribing partners to Allah, as there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah alone.
10. Those who follow the guidance of the beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him (whom Allah sent as a mercy for the entire world), as well as those who die in a state of submission (worshipping Allah alone), will be forgiven in the Hereafter and granted Eternal Paradise. Those who refuse and follow Satan instead will have Hellfire as their abode.
