@CrashBand That's all my crazy ass needs, right?
No, actually I don't. I don't have a gun, and I don't have any plans to get one. My attitude towards them is probably a result of being around them my whole life though. I've seen guns, I know what they can do, but my reaction to them is based on my personal experience with them, and not what I've seen others do.
I grew up with at least one semi auto assault rifle in the home at all times...the one I remember most vividly had a grip on it, with a fold out stock, and like a 30 round banana clip. Pistols, from .38, to 9mm, to a 45 magnum. Shotguns, pump or breakaway, and your standard hunting rifles as well.
Of all of these weapons, I've only ever fired a .22 rifle and a 20 gauge shotgun, and only on a few occasions, years ago. I've never had an issue with guns, nor have I ever seen one used in a threatening or inappropriate way. I felt secure with them around, but I don't need them to feel secure.
All in all, I'm for people having guns if they're responsible. Personally, I'm not interested in having one now, or in the foreseeable future.
