2000 lets see compare that to
around 116,516 dead in WW1
around 300,000 dead in WW2
around 558,052 dead in the civil war

compared to those no 2000 dead is not a large number. Im not saying that the lives dont matter but compared to our other wars this is relativley low cost war. And yes we did get oil from Iraq and neighboring countries. But instead of dealing with a crazed middle man dicatator we decided to take it from him and at the same time help the country with it's independence.

And yes I was the one refuting the claims of the 9/11 video. What was I thinking doubting a video made by college kids saying how the government planned a major terrorsit attack. Even though it is almost impossible to pull of without anyone knowing or caring. I must be retarded

We should have taken it by force in the first place but the war had good reasons

ffs bush did knew that there weren't any weapons there.
The VN had made a report about that. But yeah why woul'd bush or americans in general give a F*** about what the VN has to say as long as you get your freaking oil.
The man just did it for the oil, stop acting like he did it for US.

low cost war, you're kidding right? do you have any idea how much that this war has costed and will cost if it continues... I don't have the exact numbers, but shit it's a lot of them greens. and you can't compare with WWs or a civil war. It's a guerilla war... and those 2000 are americans, have you ever thaught about all those iraqi who died?

americans like you are the reason why ppl have a bad image about the US.

my views on everything

Postby Kurimoto » Mar 19th, '06, 02:02

1: alot of people need to appologise to bush
a. he didnt hurt out economy, the president gets the blaim but its a fact that all resolutions that in one way or another hurt our current economy was passed and approved by house and senate.
b. he was retaliating to a terrorist attack, be it that it may not have came directly from iraq and that iraq did not fund al qaida, they did fund other terrorist cells that wanted to attack the US
2: i read a post abotu deaths in iraq and all i got to say is if it was up to you we would probably be writing all this in german. the deaths in WW2 were in the thousands a DAY and in iraq there have been maybe 3 thousands deaths total. did people complain back then...NO...they were willing to fight for there country, to honor there leaders, and not be pansys about the whole thing.
3: you can compare this war to WWs, regardless of guerilla tactics its the underlying views of the situations that matter, not the tactics, when talking about things of this nature.
4: who cares how many iraqis died, were at war, death happens
5: if he did it for oil why am i paying 2.49 for my gas!

and just tossing this out there as well, no where in the world has democracy and no where ever will. america is a republic. democracy means the general populus has a vote, and in america we elect people to represent us. the world is spreading republicanism (and not the elephant kind, lol) not democracy
the death of one man is a tragedy, the death of one million men is a statistic

It's not all the Iraqi's being killed. More American and British troops have been killed then the Iraqis, so neck on that one.

In WWII, we had a reason to fight that was justly, we stepped in because of Pearl Harbor and then Hitler's pathetic ass. Now, we stepped in because of 9-11, and there's not proof that Al Quidea(sp) had anything to do with it. And we've proved our point of revenge, we got Suddam Huesin, however, should we stay over there and risk losing more lives because Suddam said in his "political" speach trial to resist Americans? What's the point if they're not willing to change? And also in WWII, they had the draft because it was a WORLD WAR. You can't compare the war in Iraq with WWI and WWII, there WORLD WARS, the one in Iraq isn't. There was also a draft back then, that's missing now, so you can't compare Iraq to the WORLD WARS, that's just idoitic.

Im fine with terrorists dying, but there's lot of civilian casualties.

I know a few people from iraq, who now dont have a home and have relatives, dead or missing. Infact if u were to be an iraqi, ud have a whole different view on this.

yes..... thank u.... thats exactly wat im tryin to say. i mean... ppl can say well terrist are evil and everyone in iraq is a terrorist and therefore deserv to die...... but thats not true.,..... and wat u gatta understand is that they r ppl just like me and u.... and this war has basicly torn apart a country that was already in poor economic health and social distress...... and a lot of ppl are suffering everyday over there..... while sum suffer over, we are still able to maitain a comfortable lifestyle..... i mean we dont gatta worry about sumone blowin up our house........ our military makes sure it dont get blown up......... how ever... having their house blown up over there is a harsh reality and a grusumly more frequent occurence........ i just think the whole thing is sad...... *sigh* great... ive depressed myself... time to go pop sum prozac..... :(

True their life sucks. And I understand why their reacting the way they are I would react the same way. But thing is I'm an American, so to me the life of one American soldier is worth much more than the life of an enemy soldier.

So u have a racist mentality, coz any life is a life. If ur troops werent there, then they wouldnt die in the first place.

I hate religious people and i seriously dislike muslim religion, but they have lived that way for thousands of years, if they would have wanted to change, they would have started a revolution. Its up to them to decide how their life would be.

Refilling ur oil tank is not a good enough reason for someones death or suffering.
