i agree with the person that said it's "truthful" not "factual"

i don't believe any of the things in the bible happened. (i don't believe in god but that's not the point)
but i do think it is a decent source of morals for people to follow. take Buddha, for example. he never demanded people believed in him or even cared for him. all he asked was for people to follow some simple guidelines to better your life. to me, that's all the bible is but in a different form.

also. jealousy is a sin.

"For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose

logic tells us:

-if you are jealous, then you are sinning
-God is jealous

A Jehovah's witness came to my door the other day and told me the Earth was 6000 years old. I asked her if she could explain the scientific evidence proving the existence of dinosaurs. She told me God instructed Noah not to let any dinosaurs on the ark, and they all died in the great flood or whatever happened. I was slightly flabbergasted ( ) that she actually believed that and I was left speechless for a couple seconds, but when I regained control of my mouth I politely disagreed and told her I believed in evolution and what she was saying has been disproven by science. Her exact words: "Your lack of faith disturbs me. You are ignorant. Goodbye."

why was that such a big deal?
if i believed the sky was green and somebody said "like a baby's shit after eating a green crayon?", that is of no offense to me. sure he could've kept that little comment to himself, but to react as if he shot your mother is a bit excessive and is the reason for half the problems in the world.

I believe what's written in bible about Jesus and I agree with everything that Jesus tryed to teach to people. There are some things in life which cannot be explained, and shoudln't be.

I do believe the Bible is "truthful". I do believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God. Yes it is true that the Bible had been passed down from generation to generation and copied by scribes century after century. But you know something? The oldest of found Biblical scriptures are nearly identical to the scriptures we read today. Mistakes in translation, error or any other type of impurity has barely affected the message or made any huge noticible change from the original documentations. While we don't have the VERY first documents, the oldest of documents we find today hint at what was probably written, and that message hasn't changed.

Many people have their doubts about God, the Bible and religion in general. A lot of it takes faith. I'm a believer in Christ, and I am far from the perfect Christian either. I sin so much a day its not even funny. Im not a bible-thumping conservative Christian either. I curse, I do many hings which are probably deemed "wrong" by the Church, and as a person i'm one of the most flawed that you would meet.

In reality, I don't know what you deem as being "truthful". Some things are more than meets the eye.
