Religion: Good or Bad (or Bawse)

I do have more respect for that than the born-into-religion people. Which most people who follow a religion are. You were dunked under some dirty water by a priest when you were born, and now, for no other reason, you are a Christian. That, I really don't get.

But, like I've said... its not the disciples of the religions I have any issue with. Its the institutions, and the horrible things they've done in the past and continue to do in the present.

Every single religion has caused it's share of destruction. What good has come?

A little bit of blind hope is being traded for millions of deaths.. just doesn't seem worth it to me. Nor would it even if no one was dying, but that's another story all together.

I was baptised Christian and went to a Sunday school and church once a week each for like 5 years as a kid.. Now? Nothing.

I've always been interested in chaos theory and the related fields around it.. To me nothing is certain, not even science; however, I will take science over religion any day.

I'm not sure what a Marinated Catholic Christian is, but I'm pretty sure more than '1 or 2' priests did evil deeds. If only molestation was the be all and end all of the Church's long history of abuses.

I think religion needs to be restructured and separated from the Church organization. Its never been the disciples causing problems - in the people in power who do evil shit...

But I guess thats not a problem germane to the Church.
