I find it ridiculous, that western media, bluntly missed out on how on the 8th ( the day the olympic games started and everybody was watching that instead) the fascist georgian regime with the help of US destroyed Tshinvali.

* killed more then 2000 people, civilians to be exact, in one night by bombing living quarters, hospitols and escaping caravans of people.
* committed awful crimes, at nights like shooting people against the walls, whole families. and it goes on forever.

The attempt to make up stories, for the people that till the 9th (when cnn and etc found out theres a war going on and they titled the news with "russian tanks in georgia) didnt even know what or where South Ossetia was, is purely pathetic. And let me guess... this provocation has NOTHING to do with Pro systems being all of a sudden admitted for construction?

@AspirinE- I've followed the story pretty close and I know about the invasion by Georgia, but I've never heard direct U.S. involvement. Can you explain how the U.S. helped at all? Isn't Georgia begging the U.S. for help right now and most of us are going....no we have our hands full with another war right now?

How about an arsinal (help from US) that was prepared since 2006, vast enough to continually fight in a war for 4 years. Russian trucks in Abhasia are still trying to transport all the arsenal left by georgians on the borders. Hammer jeeps, weapons that cant be controlled by georgians, thus being controlled by US personel. Huge war ships, in the black sea, carrying "humanitarian help" etc... loads of facts.
Ofcourse theres no plain involvement, but i bet u cant disagree that Georgia is a US strategic puppet.

By fact, this is a provocation from Americas side, Georgia being used, somebody (McCain) just really wants to win in the elections.

Ahhhh... thank you for the information. I read about the second part too a few days ago and forgot about it. It was about Putin claiming the U.S. provoked Georgia to give McCain more popularity in the polls. However I have to disagree. First of all, I do believe Russia did nothing wrong here and is acting in defense, but it is Putin making the accusation and he's Russian. With the U.S. blindly blaming the Russians, I can see how he can return with his own set of accusations.

Lastly...I just hope the politicians here aren't so stupid as to incite a war just so some president could get more votes....that thought alone makes me sick and disappointed if it were true.

I think there are always two side’s to every story and so far all I’ve heard is Russia this and Russia that when really they were most likely just trying to avenge and protect the people with passports in the brake away state’s though another side of me thinks’ “hey” what have Russia to gain from the encounter well first off all not a lot of people know this but the U.S depend a lot on Russia for Gas and other such material’s and if Russia were to get there tank’s to the bottom of the continent (Old USSR) then they would be able to take over the pipe line and have most of the world at there beg and please
