I am religious, and I have my reasons why I am religious.
1.) I believe that an intelligent being designed the world/universe.
2.) In my research on this subject, there has always been a distinct feature with the idea of ''God'' that peaked my interest. What is it you may ask? The innate belief of a God. Example, Helen Keller who you all know, was blind/deaf/mute, yet, as soon as she learned how to communicate she expressed her belief in a God. How would that be possible if she never even knew religion existed?
Now, Religion can be a weird word.... for the many reason is people associate religion with churches/organizations. I do not go to church for any type of religion. Not Lutheran, Catholic, Protestant, etc. I feel that if you go to an organization to learn about God, you are going to get false doctrines from the church. Here's where I base my theory on, if you go to a church, and ask a Lutheran about Jesus, he will give you his interpretation. Then you go to a Catholic and ask the same question, and you'll get a totally different version.
The bible says that you the human flesh is the holy temple(temple meaning church). Which means the real way to worship and learn about God is through individual study, not with a church.
Many reasons why people aren't inclined to learn about God is because they feel that they will be condemned, or have a feeling of damnation. This is because of the doctrines that are taught by churches.
This is my 2cents. As I am a kid I don't know everything there is to know, I just speak about the knowledge I gather.
