It's great, if I didn't smoke Marijuana right now, i would of already relapsed on harder drugs. It allows my mind to step out of the picture and view things in a clearer way. Thank you Marijuana

Okay listen, as any drug Im sure it can bring out good sides of you. I just dont think its natural or healty to rely on a drug to get a grip of these "special abbilities". Kind of hypocritical since a I drink coffee like crazy to keep focused and be able to stay awake. And ofcourse alcohol is consumed because you want to relax or have a good time or whatever.
But maybe it is as I tried to explain to Bigray before being treated as an alien: in my country weed isnt socialy exepted and seen as a bad drug and alcohol is crazy accepted. Even though alcohol is a big problem here.

I'll start by addressing the idea that marijuana adversely impacts driving ability. While I'm not saying people should go out and get stoned shitty and then get behind the wheel, it's not exactly an open and shut case on whether or not driving ability is decreased in a substantial way.

Multiple studies have been done that show THC seems to increase caution on the roads. I'll start digging up links, but that's one point I'll start on.

Here's a quick quote from a Department of Transportation report:

The impairment manifests itself mainly in the ability to maintain a lateral position on the road, but its magnitude is not exceptional in comparison with changes produced by many medicinal drugs and alcohol. Drivers under the influence of marijuana retain insight in their performance and will compensate when they can, for example, by slowing down or increasing effort. As a consequence, THC’s adverse effects on driving performance appear relatively small.

I will admit Marijuana has one big negative side effect for me. If I do get really high and meet people I don't know, I will turn into a compete wall flower. Just shy as all hell, and barely talking. That's one personal side effect that I don't enjoy

Well, that's not a bad example, but it's an inherently dangerous activity. The idea is that driving under the influence isn't as inherently dangerous as people may think. Not endorsing it, but I am bringing up the evidence to support the idea that marijuana doesn't impair people in as dangerous a way as one might believe.

Here's an excerpt from a study the Aussies did:
Evidence from the present and previous studies strongly suggests that alcohol encourages risky driving whereas THC encourages greater caution, at least in experiments. Another way THC seems to differ qualitatively from many other drugs is that the formers users seem better able to compensate for its adverse effects while driving under the influence.
