goal of foreign policy

in my opinion

our goal shouldn't be to spread democracy around the world. if they don't want it, they won't take it. and they'll blame us when it fails.

and it's not humanitarianisms. we dont need dead soldiers because of charity missions.

it's not world peace either. that's unattainable as far as i can see.

it's STABILITY. this means allowing dictators to rule certain countries if it prevents civil wars, terrorist from getting chemical weapons, or hegemonies in volatile regions.

for example, the invasion of Iraq was a gift to Iran. nothing more.

i'm at a crossroads.

i think obama/bush/congress are trying to police the world too much.
And I think people like Ron Paul would be too lienient on hostile nations.

i agree with theodore roosevelts saying "carry a big stick and walk softly"
"I take yall diss as endearment - I love it when I hear it
Maybe words offensive - free speech I don't fear it
Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric
Beyond our greatest imagination, illuminatin' experience
If we open our ears and close our inhibitions, it's clear"
