Yeah I know. I buckle up because ive been taught to do it and its stuck in my head. I put it on automaticlly. I can understand people who are used to drive without it though. Maybe they should be harder on that when people take their license.

If i were 100% sure i would never crash with other drivers, obsticales, anmals or maybe have carfailure and what not I wouöd maybe skip the seatbelt.
But you can never be sure and up here in the north theres a lot of animals.
I travel at speeds of 120km/h every day, sometimes im recklessly driving at 220km/h plus, the least I can do is where that fucking safetyharness lol

I dont get how you honestly think that.

While I agree that everyone should wear seatbelts...I'm sorry but the law IS about money lol. Why would you have to pay a 180 dollar court cost for a 15 dollar speeding ticket if it WASN'T about money lol. And also, why can rich as fuck people get out of cases that a normal person would go to jail for? They got a great lawyer who got them off. It's like how law enforcement is more out to make arrests than help people. That is true.

Out to arrest people who are a risk to other people or are breaking the law....

obviously yes there are quite a few times when things have been done that shouldnt have, but that doesnt mean that individually the police are just out to annoy people.

Its not entirely about this subject but almost. The bail system in the usa sucks. You shouldnt be able to pay money to make bail.

bigray wrote:@killyou which planet has a set fine of $15.00 for a not wearing a seat belt because I would like to live there lol Your telling me it costs $180 to take the ticket to court? Well in Canada it is free to take any type of ticket to court.

It is not all about money, the officer who issues you a ticket does not work for free.

And a fine does help, if you keep getting fines you will eventually stop or have your license taken away which prevents u from driving again or speeding. Check the stats for driving and talking on the cell phone...it has dropped significantly.... If it was up to me I would fine people $500.00 with no seatbelts.

Well, I wasn't talking about seatbelts. I was talking about how the law is about money and giving an example. I was talking about a speeding ticket. I recently had a speeding ticket and the ticket itself was 15 dollars...but the court cost was exactly $188. So it costs me more to go to court than the actual ticket. Ridiculous and that's what I was talking about.

Sure, these officers need to get payed but I had to pay $188 for a case that I got a prayer for judgement for (I did not want points to go up on insurance). Which basically means it was dropped. And I still had to pay 188. Not cool.

The best part is i don't drive so when the officer gave us a smug money hungry look

All i thought was fuck you stupid asshole

They took about 30min with two officers since the driver had a broken taillight
But otherwise we wouldn't have been pulled over

That's unfair as well basically you'll never get caught unless there's another reason to pull u over

Sam is from India, though, so I can see why. Same thing in Pakistan... many cars don't even have seatbelts, and if they do, people don't even wear them. No one cares about seatbelts there. Not even I do... but once I get back to Norway I start putting them on, mainly because it's an habit, so it happens automatically.

Yeah, many cars look alike. You won't find lots of different car brands. It's mainly Toyota and Honda, and few others.
