Police In School

Postby ,-,'-{Bar}-',-, » Feb 26th, '07, 21:35

there is a test system that strted today in 4 inverclyde schools, were police will patrol the classrooms and gournd of the school, up to 4 police at a time, i read this in my local newspaper

anywae what do you think about police patroling school classrooms?

i think its bit much, the school iw as at is on of the four, and that school alreayd has CCTV all round the grounds and teachers patroling, i dont see it workng, if i was still in school n the police were there id go nuts in situtuations were teachers re being unfair then the police try to get involved and tell me o shut up, id end up charged..thats me but :sweating:

School isn't a prison, so I don't see any reason for the police to be there. They ain't teachers and usually don't know shit about pedagogics.. Personally, I wouldn't feel cool if they came to my school..

Security? Yeah, they were in my junior high and it was ok with me. But police, with all the guns, handcuffs n shit.. Nah, that's not the best idea.. :sweating:

Depends on the school and the area. I'm against the police in primary schools for example.. :zipped:

Primary is exactly what terrorists captured a couple years ago. That shit was disturbing, id rather have an army standing there instead of some facing a bigger chance of some xtremists attack.

^ That's why I said it depends on the area, Asp. I know that now it can be possible everywhere, the terrorists attack, but.. I dunno, I just don't think that's a good idea to treat school like a prison. :zipped:

Why do u keep trying to portray police as negative.

This is the problem with society, u gotta give respect to those who protect u, so they can give respect to you.

Police isnt supposed to stripp u of ur rights and in most cases it doesnt, it protects ur rights. no way can "prison" be used to describe it.

(and no i dont wanna hear about racist police who put poor , innocent cokedealers away to prison)

wen had cameras and our own police team for our school,so its not new to me.It dont really work though just gives you something else to enjoy avoiding while fucking about.

they need to make punishments worse and change the parents attitude.

I know the way young people feel about the police here [at this point big propz to our "gangsta" rappers]. It's not me who's keeping on portraying them as negative, it's just that I know how it works here. Schools, considered as umm.. let's say for 'less ambitious' students, would change into regular prison then. Instead of involving police, they should give more rights to teachers, cause right now they can't do shit. >_>

whats the point? I think thats just gonna get people 2 try & do stuff without bein caught by the police, 2 be ''more daring'', is cameras not enough? :shakehead: Personally don't think it's gonna make any difference.
