i think English is one of the easiest languages and so many people know it, that not knowing English is just a great loss. and just like Asp said, everyone should know at least 2, cause it's just way to discover the world and other people and you can manage it on your own, you don't need a translator.

there have been several attempts to do that, but they're all stupid and ridiculous




i dont think ppl should have to know english. i just think knowing your own language is good enough, but knowing more than one can be very helpful. i def think if ur gonna visit another country with a new language to u, then try and learn it. i hate ppl that come here and dont speak any english, and then wanna get mad when they cant understand us. i think america's official language should be english, nothing else. it will never happen cuz we want equality, but i think we also need to be defined

Firstly i am no judge of how well u speak french and spanish, since school elementary second language knwolege aint exactly "speaking the language". Coz if that was like that id have to add french and greek to my list too.

A simple poll will show u that that in Europe people speak 2 languages at least and thats normal , in america the numbers are poorer, i'd bet money on that. Ive lived in europe for 6 years and there meeting someone that doesn't speak more than one language is nuisance to me. English is like the caveman language which anybody can speak here, people dont even count it as important lol.
