May genetics be effective on committing crimes?

actually at school we have a debate about it..i've been trying to find some sources to get information from about it..in the debate we will be defending this thought.. that
genetics can be effective on comitting crime too and i wanted to ask it here too just wonder what you people think..


can it be genetic? for example there are some criminals in a family..in the next generation can the next the members of the family have a tendency to crime commit just because they have it in their genes??

coz scientists claim that a serial killer isnt MADE
a serial killer is born (its in his genes )

if it was up to me to choose i would maybe choose the other one
society is more effective on that

i define what i do and i decide my actions, im not forced to do anything because of my genetics, and my opinions are built up through my expeireince and stuff that have influenced me, they having nothing to do with my genetics

I'd say no. Well, there are some genetic problems such as making a person more/hyper aggressive, but many criminals are not made because of their genes, but because of forced circumstances. I'm pretty sure most serial killers have had traumatic pasts and unstable families. Genetics could help a person commit crimes, but can't guarantee a person's fate to becoming a criminal.

we searched and found that
in some me^n's genes there are some mistakes..while there supposed to be 46 chromosome in them 'xy'

in some there are xyy n 47 chromosomes
that is called xyy syndrome and that caussed natural aggressiveness and tendency to harmful acts and committing crimes

that is proven by alot of scientists..and we won the competition with our certain proofs like that... lmao i cant believe we won that

BULLSHIT it obviously only depends on how the child was brought up and the conditions he lived thru. Wat kinda debate is this? no offense to u or anythin but i think ur class needs to think about lesser obvious things to debate about.

Ofcourse it can genetic, a combination of characters from ur parents can make u more likely to have anger outbursts and have less control over urself.

But its also bout how u were raised i guess.
