Ok so now that Obama is president, what do you think he should do to get the United States out of this hole were in?....

Personally, I think he should drill for oil here...and should try to make the U.S. more energy independent...

And we should cut goverment spending on anything for 6 months to a year and only spend money if we absolutly have to...

There should be stricter laws on gas prices being to high...i know its not possible but i wish they would make it a law to where gas cant go over $2.50 a gallon..i know that won't happen but who knows..

I know somebody who owns a bar and banning smoking has really hurt his business. If people can't smoke they don't stay as long and only have 1 beer, instead of 3-4.

Also, the troop surge HAS indeed worked, and worked very well, so Iraq is on it's way to being one. The question is Pakistan and Iran now.

What Obama needs to do is:
1) Institute a national cap and trade system.
2) Reform healthcare, WITHOUT nationalizing it.
3) Freeze the capital-gains tax.
4) Don't raise income taxes for at least a year.
5) Cut from social security, raise the retirement age.
6) FREE TRADE, FREE TRADE, FREE TRADE no unilateral re-negotiations with NAFTA
7) Don't lead our country down the Socialist path.
