Possible civil war in Iran?

Iran is in total chaos. On the one side you have the people who voted for the sitting president Mahmoud and on the other side there are the people led by reformist nominee Mousavi. Mahmoud won the recent presidential election, but the opposition are screaming for a fixed election and demand a new election.
There has been massive streetfights between the two groups and in some demonstrations several hundred thousand has participated.

A lot of people have been killed or injured and demonstrators have been tortured and even killed after being inprisoned. Now there is rumours about the presidents own revolutionairy guard are getting involved, a military group which is known for using extreem violence.

Because the country is so extremly devided and force and violent outbreakes takes place all over the country it seems like this is a conflict that won't resolve itself.

Is Iran headed for a civil war, and if so, how would that affect the rest of the world? According to american newsreports Iran is an highrisk nuclear nation and if the sitting president takes total control i think that it would be easier for Iran to continue their nuclear program.

I've been seeing this on tv and it's been getting worse. I hope in the end the current administration is overthrown even if the new one won't be that much of a change.

yea the official statements from Iran is that there might have been "mistakes" which is bullshit we know they rigged that shit. It would be so easily to do. I think that we will have a Nuclear war between the US and allies versus Middleeast/North Korea.

Yeah ,I'm Iranian. Here In Iran everything is getting worse and worse, Idk what it would lead to , But I do know Khameneyi(great leader of Iran) is behind of all this . I voted to Mirhossein Mousavi , all of my family did ,all of my friends and our neighbours did , Every one I can remember voted to Mousavi but we are all confused now , We cant believe that Dr.Mahmoud ahmadinejad became our fucking president once again , We all hate him in Iran , We cant tolerate this bloody Situation , It's a fucking Cheat , we all Want my Votes back , that's it , But these fucking special forces and security gaurds plus a group in Iran Who called basijis are killing and calshing my innocents compatriots .

many of us in Iran hadn't decided for voting before Election because we don't want this Stupid System and regiment that Controls the people and country right now ,we wanted to prohibit this election better say Selection We all In Iran just want peace for everyone but they used and cheat us to bring our people to those fake voting Boxes and say to the world 84% in Iran voted for presidential election ,this was my first time that I voted and It will be the last one .

Man, i really feel for you. I can't even begin to understand what you and your fellow citzens are going through, it must be horrible. Like a nightmare. You must feel helpless, if you can't trust that your government want what's best for you, who cant you trust then? I really hope that Ahmad Jannati and the rest of the "board of guardience" or whatever they are called in english come to there senses and admitt there may have been cheating in the election. Violence must stop and i can't see that happening aslong as Mahmoud are allowed to rule the country as a tyrant.

Remember, the world are watching and hopefully the UN will intervien. They just annonced that they will not allow more blood-shed and the killing of innocent demonstrators must end.

The government Filtered everything these days , E-mails are filtered and we cant Send and check any E-mails , facebook and myspace are filtered , Youtube is filtered , sms was filtered , now it's only 2 days that it's been available , even Our DVB's are filtered and We can't Watch BBC And VOA Channels They Jammed and make parasite on these and many of us Cant reach to any Source of information about this protests , and there is no evidence of it in the state TV They pretend that everything is under control but it's not ,Me and my friends Could reach and pass all of their filters and we are trying to publish the information everywhere , And Thank god you and The World are behind us .
