You're right, most of it all comes from the same place.

The story of Christianity, in fact, is expressed 3,000 years prior to the birth of Christ in Egyptian Pagan Mythology.

The themes of religions pretty much all equate to the same thing; the differences are probably due to the locality of the authors of religious text.

About 5,000 years ago a bunch of religious and political hustlers got together to try to figure out how to control people and keep them in line. They knew people were basically stupid and would believe anything they were told

No religion in history has a real, logical or reliable basis.

Pagans used to worship the Sun as the 'saviour of mankind' as they needed it to survive, grow crops, eat and so on. They didn't understand anything about the Universe or the way things ACTUALLY worked so they created stories and myths to fit.

And every evening the Sun would go down and it would get dark. Now, obviously they had no idea why so the myth attached was the Sun was 'fighting' the darkness (night) and every morning the Sun would RISE victorious. Rise again, to save mankind. From the evil, scary darkne... See where it's going.

Sun vs. Night = Light vs. Dark = Good vs. Evil = God vs. Devil.

Modern religions developed from these and other myths and Egyptian mythology. Individual interpretations and fictions according to culture and tradition were constantly added down the ages. With all aspiring religions stealing, sorry, 'borrowing' from each other and shaping everything else to fit THEIR culture.

Why do think Christianity is so bias towards white European values and early ignorance. Slavery, homephobia, traditional family settings. Then why do you think Allah and Islam puts X people above Y people in terms of religious law. With woman being so low on the pecking order and so on. Every element of every religion was created by ignorant human beings of their respective cultures. It's so blindingly fucking obvious.

Do you think it's a coincidence that the most valued people in X religion are the people living in the place where the religion was originated lmao.

And they've built up this bullshit wall of protection, claiming that believing for the sake of it is a good thing. Something to cherish. That we shouldn't ask questions, they have all the answers in a single book. Oh but erh... They don't believe 'that' bit anymore. They get their morality from said text but they can somewhow operate outside of it to nit-pick which bits they still value or not.

Religion gets exaggerated respect for no apparent reason and has only caused misery, suffering and death since its creation. It's born out of stupidity and thus, it produces stupidity. No good can come of it, it's the bain of mankind and should be ridiculed at every possible chance.

you people are saying that there is no chance of a god existimg. and that your stupid to believe in anything like that. you said that its important to take every chance you get to make fun of religion because all it leads to is death and problems.
so if u take every chance u get to hate on something, dosent that do the same thing you think religion is doing in the 1st place? i almost feel like your argument is composed of complete hippocracy, hatred and stupidity. stupidity in that you see no way of there being a god in any way even though theres so many things explained by the presence of one. but im really not trying to convince u. i made this topic to ask a question. but you obviously ignored it and went straight to your own prerogative. whatever man it seems like you have the problem. not religion.

The root of God's existence is logic.
The Christian God is the only god in any religion that makes sense.

If you're not Christian, I'm not getting into it.

i haven't seen anybody say people are stupid for believing in god. nobody is hating. and i did answer your question. it just wasn't the answer you wanted so now you think i'm hating.

lol oh boy

First of all, hypocrisy*.

Secondly, no, hating on religion is in no way the same thing that religion is doing in the first place. Unless a bunch of crazy people strap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up in the name of atheism, then no.

And how's he stupid man, c'mon, you fucking spelt hypocrisy wrong.

I dont really get this post. Wic was simply asking, I think it's more the fact you dont know how to answer it, rather than "atheists never seem to listen".

And "If you're not Christian, I'm not getting into it." is pretty stupid. Your only going to discuss something were everyone will agree with you? Whats the point of having a discussion with no-one arguing a case against.

It's just that, time and time again there have been atheists on here who just flame like no fuckin tomorrow. 4G is smart in not getting involved because it is just going to another cyclical debate.

I can answer it. I have a doctor of theology in my family who specializes in Catholicism. I've had many a discussion about it with him, and everything makes sense to me. But that's only because I'm listening with an open mind, unlike atheists.
Like I said, I'm not getting into a circle jerk about it.
