It's been re-written over 500 times by anonymous authors and translated (badly).
Historically it's been disproven in almost all aspects. Religious people only started saying it was metaphorical etc. After we disproved the actual history of it. Then once most sensible people saw that the ridiculous stories of creation were insane too, they made the same claim.
So which parts exactly are meant to be true and how do you nit pick. It's a book of babble. Christianity just hijacked themes and traditions from Pagan mythology and as for the 'morality' of it - All of the 'good' morality was not originated by The Bible or Christians.
Philosophers had long said what they preach. All The Bible is the source of is hate, homeophobia, stoning, irrational fear, you name it. It's had only a bad influence on humanity and should be used only as toilet paper.

Factual? No, not at all.
What I mean to say is this: there is truth to be found in some of the stories, on spiritual matters. Love thy neighbor, don't kill, don't steal. These are things that can be considered truthful in the respect that they are good things to live by.
However, the Bible (to me) is not at all factual. I don't believe that it should be considered a historical document, like some consider it to be. I don't think that God made the Earth in 7 days, nor do I believe that he created man from the dirt.
The fact is that some people genuinely believe the Bible to be the book on the true origin of everything. That's frightening, to me at least.
