Ok, scenario...John Smith is a mountain climber independently climbing every other weekend. Now this particular weekend we buys a weak rope without either party, the buyer or seller, knowing that it is weak. The fact that the rope is weak is a minuscule fact in the scope of the rest of the story. John goes out climbing in some mountains in Arizona. He slips and breaks his legs, but is able to call 911 and is rescued. Now here is the problem. First off I think mountain climbers should not be rescued....but that's me. If someone wrestled alligators, should he be rescued? Its nearly the same thing only society views wrestling alligators more stupid than climbing a mountain for no reward, no honor, just valor in one's mind. But most people do not share the same feelings as I do, so I'll say that we rescue him. But because this incident could have been avoided easily that he must pay, for the helicopter fuel, the two or more workers that came out to rescue him, and any hospital bills (I think they usually do pay for this.)
So what do you think about people like this? Any passion at all like me? Or too much passion for the stupidity and exploration of man's curiosity.
