Interview With Geno & Menzo
01. Geno and Menzo, what the fuck is up guys? You two make a great team, tell us how did you “meet” on TR?
Menzo: Chillin' like a villain like a penguin in its fuckin' igloo eating fudgesicles!.........Not much man, just been around like my ex, what's up with you?
Geno: Well that's all she wrote. This interview's about done I guess...We didn't even answer the first question yet either. We might as well do that. We met on here back in 2009 when we signed up, but we mainly became friends when we were first made vets by Emadyville a couple years ago. Then we decided to start writing together.
Menzo: Yeah, ACTUALLY...before we were vets, we ended up finding out that we both went to the same kinda...concert festival thingy called Summer Rush AFTERWARDS haha, but we really started talkin' fluently once we became vets, yeah.
Geno: It's not like I woulda went with you anyways though, so it's irrelevant.
02. Geno, as far as I’ve noticed, you’re more into writing than Menzo is, but I’d like to hear both of yours thoughts on each other’s skills?
Geno: Nah, we're both into the writing the same amount. I just drop more solo pieces than he does. He probably writes more than I do since he has a notebook full of material. As for his skills... well there isn't any. I only write with him because he pays me.
Menzo: Uhm...yeah, I wouldn't really say he is more "into" writing per se, he just drops way more than I do, haha. I'm usually experimenting, trying to write new rhyme schemes and flows, reading up on new diction to use, punchlines...all that shit. Geno drops pieces at a Tech N9ne rate and I drop pieces at Em's rate...And as far as my thoughts on his skills? Well, obviously I think he's dope or else our duo Ego wouldn't exist. We usually have the same ideas and push each other to excel
Geno: Yeah, we both see eye to eye on just about everything when it comes to writing. We're always trying to improve upon the last thing we did and escalate it to a new level. It's a good challenge and it's a lot of fun when you have good chemistry with the other people you're writing with.
03. Do you have mutual friends or “enemies” on TR? Give us some info as in which members you would recruit if you were to make a TR team of some sorts?
Menzo: Aside from you? No, not at all. Haha, nah...uhh...I don't really have "enemies" on here, it's actually pretty invigorating to get into little quibbles with some members. Even if I disagree with 'em on a lot of things, I don't ever consider someone an enemy.
Geno: I'm the same way. I don't agree with everybody, but I don't hate anyone, or consider them as enemies. Mutual friends on the other hand, is pretty much anyone on the site. I get along with 90% of the community and I'm sure Menzo does too. We've been here for 3 years so we know a lot of the same members on the same level, so it's pretty similar. As for a TR dream team of sorts? Hmm.. For us, I'd just say a team would focus around writing and rapping. I'd pick Menzo and that's it to be honest.
Menzo: This guy has a boner for me...But yeah, I'd agree with him if we're talkin' about writing and rapping, maybe Emady as well. He's dope, when he's not being a faggot which...isn't very often.
Geno: Shout out to Daddy Dubs!
04. Who do you think has a bigger chance in scoring a date with Guess_Who or any of the female members? I’m of course implying on a hypothetical scenario.
Geno: Definitely me. Not because I think I'm better looking (I am) or am more charming (I am) but because I'm already engaged to Amaranthine in real life.
Menzo: Mhm...Actually, it's not that hypothetical because I've actually fucked Guess_Who a few times. She got her nickname from me, I'd knock on her window and whisper "Guess who?" and as she'd hide under her covers, she'd peek out with one eye...and even though Geno's engaged to Amaranthine, she's been cheating on him the whole time. She's gettin' with him just for the money, how sad it'll be when realizes this faggot's broke as fuck.
Geno: It's not really cheating. It's more of an open relationship since I know she'd never leave me for Menzo. Kid's gay anyway. I found out when he was having his fling with Guess_Who. Turns out she slept with one eye open and caught him masturbating to a video of Swifty McVay.
Menzo: We fucked for real.
05. Are you into video games, and favorite ones?
Menzo: For sure baby! Concerning 'old school' games, definitely the Donkey Kong Country series and Super Mario World - I can't fathom how many hours I spent on those. Some of other favourites are Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask, the Pokemon games on Gameboy, Goldeneye 007, Conker's Bad Fur Day, pretty much every FIFA game (Forza Juve!), Grand Theft Auto III, Age of Empires/Mythology, every Lord of the Rings game, San Andreas & IV, Call of Duty 4, the Gears of War series, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion & Skyrim uhh...I don't really follow games anymore these days though, kinda sad.
Geno: I like a lot of the same games that Menzo listed. My all time favourite console is the Super Nintendo, so it's only fitting that some of my most treasured games are for that same system. My favourite game is Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It's where I got my username from. Play the game if you haven't. Geno's badass in that game, and unfortunately it's only 1 of 2 games he's ever been in; the only playable one too. Donkey Kong Country's series holds a special place in my heart as well. So memorable. Basically all of the Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Tales Of games are my favourites. Gears of War, Banjo Kazooie (and Tooie), Resident Evil 4, 5 (and soon 6), Dead Rising 2, the Fire Emblem series. I'm really anticipating the Wii U's release for ZombiU. It looks insane. Also The Last Of Us for PS3 coming next year. There's too many to list.
06. What are some of your favorite times i.e. memories regarding this site?
Geno: I hate this site... Nah, I'd say any time there's an Eminem album announced. It's usually around then that we begin to get some excitement injected into the forum as Em makes his way back into the spotlight. It's really a fun time to be around here.
Menzo: Definitely, hype season is fuckin' amazing! I was lucky enough to be here to anticipate Relapse and Recovery. The build up is just CRAZY! Everyone becomes a Stan, hahaha one of the best moments being when Kamil trolled the forum, saying he was going to leak Recovery and TR crashed. Another classic moment being SajN pullin' an April Fools joke concerning him interviewing Eminem, and asking us to give him questions. Ahh...also, the forum was just healthier and more friendly, that in general made it always fun. Sometimes these days, it's a chore to sit and read what some people have to say...
Geno: I remember when Sox and Kamil were gonna buy Cold Wind Blows from a non-existant source. I think Recovery leaked that night, or the next day. Can't wait for it to happen again with his next release.
07. Have you two ever been in a disagreement that has sparked a more serious debate/argument?
Geno: Honestly no. I don't remember any. He has a better memory than I do though so maybe he recalls something.
Menzo: No, not ever. We've only maybe disagreed on rap concepts and if we can't resolve it, we scrap it altogether.
Geno: I think we've tried to get eachother to like eachother's 2nd favourite rappers a little bit here and there. For him, it's trying to get me to like some more of Nas' music, and for me it's Tech N9ne. It's not really a disagreement or an argument haha, but you could call it somewhat of a difference in taste. It's kinda funny though, since we agree on just about everything musically except those 2. I like Nas, and he likes Tech, but we're not really deep into the other rapper's discography as much as our favourites.
08. Do you give a fuck about politics?
Menzo: Fuck no.
Geno: I don't really follow it much.
09. What are your thoughts on trolling? Any particular occasions of you trolling someone, or being trolled maybe?
Geno: It's annoying when people are stupid about it and purposely just act like idiots to "troll" you. I prefer the well thought out troll attempts, like SajN's April Fools joke that Menzo mentioned. At the time they might be really annoying, but when you look back, that's the memorable moment; that's a good troll.
Menzo: Word! Like Geno and I mentioned before, some of my favourite trolling occasions were performed by SajN, Kamil and Sox...actually, back in 2010 there were two of my favourite troll phases; The first being the "U Mad?" phase...holy fuck, any and every thread just KILLED me, it was so funny. The second being...can you guess? CANIBUS! Hahaha, shout outs to my fallen homies MC Anonymous and Ali Jack. And as far as my thoughts on trolling, if it's executed well then it's good, but nowadays the creativity is dry as fuck! Not to say I'm creative, I don't even bother with it but it's almost as if trolling now means you have to say Eminem is shit and/or bring up Kanye fuckin' West. For Christ's sake guys.
Geno: Yeah, Kanye West isn't even good so it's a horrible troll attempt.
10. As I always ask (due to me being self-involved and all), how do you like this magazine; do you have any suggestions; and how was it to participate in the first conjoint interview?
Geno: I don't even read it aside from the parts I'm in.
Menzo: I like it a lot homie, and I really appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into this. It's really somethin' special and deserves a lot more recognition. My only complaint is Geno practically answering first for all the questions, cunt. First the worst, second the best, no bigs. Honestly though, I don't really have any constructive criticism, maybe someday evolve into audio interviews eventually? That's about it. Aside from that, keep doin' your thing man, you're definitely havin' a positive impact on TR. As for being on the first conjoint interview? That's dope as fuck. Ego settin' new bars son!!
Geno: Yeah it's a cool magazine. The cover this week is great, it's my favourite so far. I don't have any complaints or criticism. Keep doing your thing, it's great for this website. Maybe try to advertise it a bit more though. You should talk to the admins and maybe see about it being put up in the Announcements part of the forum. Never know until you ask! Thanks for our inclusion man.

All Quiet On The TR Front
Seriously, I can’t think of fucking anything that has happened since the last time I dropped an issue, so I’ll just notify you on few and random things and instances. One of them is the constant reappearance of Aftermathers. This creature was probably invented by George Lucas considering how many revisions does it get, or perhaps it’s the latest version of a terminator that just cannot fucking die, but cannot do no damage either, and is just annoying. However, it is fun in a way. It’s really funny when we spot the next new account and with many members mentioning it, a lot of other members are getting pissed off. Well, don’t think that we’re seriously concerned about it, it’s just some sort of trolling I guess. There’s this guy Exzibit who sparked some debates here and there and I think that’s kinda cool. Though the way he’s calling out people, or at least the way he singled me out as a stan and whatnot, was definitely uncool. But it’s the internet, so you know, it’s all good. My man name has came up with yet another quotable in “What if Leonardo da Vinci painted a Boston Celtics snapback on Mona Lisa's head?” which was a response to knockmathers’ comment “kanye should make a song with hopsin and kendrick lamar, not in the same song but different ones, would be art!” knockmathers is a good sport though, so he took the joke as it should be taken. Another thing is Lello’s diet and attempt to lose weight. As I’ve told him, I and all the other members are cheering for him and we’re very happy and proud with his progress. I figured that was worth a mention in here, so Lello, keep it up man, stay strong! I think that sums it up guys, though I guess I should mention EminemBase who has posted some videos of himself recently, notably the one about Drake which I think is worth checking out.

Slim’s Random Review
The Lord Of The Rings trilogy represents my favorite movies of all time, or should I say movie because the three films form a single epic piece of perfection. This movie is seriously perfect to me, and I honestly wouldn’t change a single second of it. And I say this most genuinely, I really do feel like that about it. Considering you have all seen this, I’m not really going to review it but rather speak on my personal connection with the movie. I watched the first 2 movies in November 2003, and they blew me away so I was very excited about going to the cinema to watch the 3rd one. This happened in December the same year, and the experience I had in the movie theatre is still the best I’ve ever had in a fucking movie theater. The excitement kept kicking in time and time again, and I was under attacks of mind-fucks throughout the whole thing. The scene where Theoden prepares his riders for the charge, when they were yelling “death” and all, and the charge itself is my favorite scene in movies history. I think it’s the most epic battle ever filmed. But anyway, I actually started this review with another suggestion in mind. If you’re a fan of the movie I strongly advise you to buy the extended cuts of the movies that come in a single package. The whole thing is designed wonderfully, but moreover, it includes these appendix DVDs (2 per each film) which include around 3 hours of material per disc. These appendices show every aspect of the filming of the movie and it is when you watch them that you realize how dope the films actually are. The amount of work that has been put in them is unbelievable and the hours of material will fuck with your mind more than the movie does. The making of costumes, miniatures, digital effects, scenarios, weapons, set scenes, is a must-see for any LotR fan. I’m not sure if you can find these online, but if you do then watch them (in case you don’t feel like spending money, but you get way more than what you pay for with this one, trust me).

Slim’s Musical Review
The vintage boom bap sound is one of my favorite things about Hip-Hop. Those recognizable drum patterns that make you look like a bobblehead figure considering the fact you’d be nodding your head like crazy are pure awesomeness. As the name of the album suggests, Return Of The Boom Bap by KRS-One is an LP that is filled with beats like that. KRS can come off as preachy douche in all of his interviews and the stuff that he’s done from ’97 on but there were times when he was dropping classics on people. This album is my favorite from him and it’s mainly because of the production. KRS’ delivery is dope as well though, his voice is powerful and the guy has some great intonation patterns to his disposal. His songwriting skills for that time-frame are excellent as well and with that in mind you get a wonderful product. The best songs on there are Sound Of The Police and Outta Here but the rest is good as well. For example, I Can’t Wake Up is a concept song similar to Nas’ I Gave You Power but in this case KRS is rapping from the perspective of a blunt. So overall, this is definitely worth a check, regardless if you’re a ‘90s Hip-Hop fan or just want to educate yourself on the old-school spirit.

Become Cooler
Value yourself more than you value anyone else. I’m not saying that you should be arrogant, cocky or self-centered (I am, but it’s OK), but always have a limit to what are you willing to do for other people. Females can fuck a guy up, that’s for sure. One of the reasons is that men have a tendency to put women on a pedestal and their pride goes off the window – quickly. Of course, in a relationship you must have a sense for compromise and it’s the only way the shit can work, but again, there should be limit to everything. Don’t allow to get whipped or walked over by a lady. Love/infatuation/attractiveness can cause wonderful feelings, but those feelings can work against you. It’s like an addiction really, everything that makes you feel good can create an addiction because (notice the Kanye reference), naturally, everybody wants to feel happy/excited as much and as often as possible. In order to get what you want, there are huge probabilities of you doing something illogical and go against your beliefs and principles. Don’t forget about your friends, they were here before the girl, and will be there afterwards. Obviously, with a relationship come certain obligations and it’s very understandable for you to be busier and not have as much time to spend with your people, but don’t fucking delete them off your life. If you’re doing plenty of stuff for a girl and she doesn’t value that, then it’s very OK for you to end the thing. Sure, “love” can make you more forgivable and way more tolerable about things, but don’t turn into a bitch dude. Also, learn from your mistakes. There’s another tendency of guys choosing the wrong girl, and I know that you don’t really choose who to like, that’s a subconscious thing, but don’t let the physical appearance to make you ignore the personality. If you’re planning to get in a relationship or perhaps to go after a girl who may not like you, try to judge her personality and if she doesn’t worth it, fuck her looks and you liking her. She will be not worth your troubles and you deserve something much better.

Throwbacks – Far Cry
Oh shit, this will be a good one. The first time I bought a PC was back in early ’04 and one of the games that came out around that time was Far Cry. It was released by Ubisoft but the working force behind it was the Crytek team. And Crytek are some motherfuckers that make the best graphics in games. It has happened with Crysis (which came out in ’07 and it’s still the best visual looking game), but the first time was with Far Cry. It’s like they came out of nowhere and blew everybody away. Of course, at the time there was rarely a PC that could play it on maximum settings (mine included) but the game looked dope even on lower settings, especially for that time. The graphics showed its quality through the wonderful beaches and jungle locations, which also made Far Cry a very big game for you were able to take countless routes to your destination even though it was divided in levels, and wasn’t an open-ended game. The gameplay and the story didn’t fall short either. Weapons were dope, the AI as well, and there were some cool objectives for you to complete, as well as plenty of vehicles to ride (along with a glider which offered a great deal of fun). The pacing of the story and enemies (and locations) was great, and as you progress you come across some darker places and you start swapping soldiers with some ugly creatures (still more beautiful than Aftermathers though). In case you haven’t played, I suggest you to do so, because with the settings on high the game still looks decent even for today’s standards.

The Revolution Is On
This is the last time I write the member of the week article (which means that some of you will have to provide it for me). As I’ve said before, a member can’t get both an article in this section and an interview, so I’m kinda running out of members that I know well, and while interviews are never a problem this is more tricky. Even with Revolutionary, I’m not so sure if I can do justice to his awesomeness. But anyway, as you can notice from his current avatar, Rev is a Mos Def fan, which is always a good thing, and if I remember correctly he’s a Lupe fan as well so that gives him another plus with me. Rev is one of those guys who understand objectivity and the concept of being open-minded very well and therefore he’s always open to new ideas and things of that matter. I also like his sense of humor and the way he can come out of nowhere and just dismiss your opinion like it’s nothing. It’s a sort of trolling tbh, and he may often find an argument with you to be not worth his efforts. As for his recent whereabouts the guy is planning on buying this awesome watch, so you might as well show his choice some support. But more importantly, he has announced (with great joy) that he’s been accepted in some medicine program, a fit that has apparently taken him quite a while to accomplish, so you should congratulate him on that as well. I also believe that he’s a football (soccer) fan so that’s worth a mention I guess. As for his “troubles” with some members, I got the impression that he and Eedee aren’t fans of each other, and there’ve been instances of Rev saying shit to Blu, haha. Matter of fact, I’ll end this with a quote that supports this fact:
Revolutionary wrote:Blu wrote:For every bad Lil Wayne line there's at least 3 bad Em lines.
For every dumb comment I make, there's at least 5 dumb comments made by you.

Reader's Corner - It's J.R.'s Turn
Let me just clear this up; if you haven't played this game, you will think I'm crazy. It's about to get crazy. I'm about to talk about a Raccoon running around with a cane, and a Turtle named Bentley who starts off able to walk but later ends up in a high powered wheel chair. So, if you haven't played these games, I suggest looking up something about them. Be it the final mission of 2/3 (the first one is kind of skippable, although you can check it out as well.) Just a note also, I'm doing this because I know Kill you and I love these games, and I wanted to share that with the forum.
Now then. Sly Cooper is a raccoon as I've already stated, who was born into a legendary clan of thieves, know as the cooper clan, or family. They have an extremely long history, (which is getting ready to be explored in more detail in the next installment about to come about, Sly cooper 4, Thieves in Time), one of which can't be matched by any thief.
Sly proved this after destroying his arch enemy, "Clockwork" (More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sly_2:_Ban ... eves#Story) in the previous installment. In this game, he's sneaking into museum in Cairo to destroy the Clockwork parts. As he's about to destroy them, he finds them stolen. Carmelita, (A cop, fox, and longtime love interest.) Suggests he did, while her partner, Constable Neyla suggests it was a Klaww Gang job. This leads to Sly cooper and the gang tracking down every member of the Klaww gang and recovering the Clockwork parts, before having them stolen. (By Arpeggio, one member of the Klaww Gang) and Neyla takes over the body of Clockwork. After they defeat "Clockwork", it falls and crushes Bentley's legs, rendering him unable to walk.
Carmelita destroys the Parts. All three members of the Gang escape.
I will not fully recap Sly: Honor Among Thieves, I will just say that he teams up with a few members of the Klaww gang, Bentley and Murray, A new character named Penelope (Bentley's love interest.) and at the end, Fakes amneisa and runs off with Carmelita. Bentley builds a time machine, setting up Thieves in Time, in which the pages of the Thievious Raccoonous, (His Families thieving book, I belive) Start disappearing, due to some error in the time machine or something.
If you have not played these games, they are definitely classics. Check them out as soon as you can get your hands on them, and I will see you when Sly: Thieves in Time comes out!
