Well tell them about the how complex rhyming is, tell them about how many bars there are per song, how there can be two words that rhyme in every line, about the multisylable shit. Most importantly tell them that rap has meaning, dance is merely for cokeheads lol.

no seriously, dance is made for dancing, u dont usually think into it, but rap is easier to relate to, and a rapper expresses more emotions with words then a dance dj does.

To prove to them that, ur first gonna have to prove that ur word is worth way more than wat they saying, like rap soul said- be dominating. But dont be too fanatic about hip hop or sum artist, judge as if u were judjing music, bring comparisons to how some songs changed the world in rock and hip hop, just be a smart ass :)

tell ur friend or if u prefer "mate" to come to America and experiment at a party, see how many ppl will smoke him up/drink him up when he brings dance music compared to rap/hip hop!

Some good advice there Aspirine, might take some of that myself. Got a friend who thinks Dance music is the shit, i agree with the last part!! :D
